For 44 years, the New Balance Falmouth Road Race has been a cornerstone event every summer in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Since 2012, the New Balance Falmouth Road Race has turned to AMI Graphics to prepare the seven-mile track for 11,000 runners. From the Start Line at Woods Hole to the Finish Line at the beach of Falmouth Heights, and everything in between, AMI printed and installed multitudes of signage along the route.
AMI outfitted the registration area, expo, refreshment center, and more with branded signage sporting the New Balance Falmouth Road Race logo and sponsor signage. Install was completed in the days prior to the race, and the AMI crew took down the signage shortly after the race ended, returning Falmouth to exactly how it had been hours before. Keep an eye out for an upcoming Case Study to learn more about AMI Graphics’ partnership with the New Balance Falmouth Road Race!
Last month, two AMI team members traveled to Morrow County Ohio to experience the center of the vintage motorcycling universe, The Annual AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Event. This three-day event consisted of endless motorcycle fun. Erik Wensberg and Nick McGrail set up shop right on pit lane for the launch of AMI Graphics’ new product, "Pride in your Ride” customized prints. We have teamed up with The American Motorcycle Association to offer a new product that allows riders to display a favorite photograph enlarged and printed on Baltic Birch wood and ready to hang in a home, garage, or other spot. Our booth displayed all three types of Pride in Your Ride custom signs and had examples using images from the AMA photo archives. Amazingly enough, some of the riders from the images we used were at the event!
Visitors to our booth were intrigued by the custom signs and asked questions in regards to how they are made, what sizes are offered, and how to get one. Some of the visitors even showed us their favorite motorcycle photos due to interest in purchasing their own custom print. Throughout the event, Erik and Nick handed out hundreds of "Pride in Your Ride" postcards to interested riders so they can easily access information on the prints and instructions on how to create a print of their own!
If you are interested in this new product, visit ama-pride.com; you don't need to be an AMA member to view the options or purchase a print of your own!
Dartmouth College has a storied history of excelling in the classroom as well as on the fields, courts, and ice. With over 30 varsity programs belonging to NCAA Division I, the Ivy League, and the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference, “The Big Green” is home to hundreds of dedicated student-athletes and the alma mater to thousands more.
AMI Graphics has had the pleasure of working with Dartmouth College Athletics for over 10 years. When they were looking to update some of their indoor and outdoor facilities, it was no surprise that they turned to AMI to get the job done. In April of 2015, two Senior Associate Athletic Directors got in touch with AMI to get started on rejuvenating their facilities. Not long after, a site visit was conducted at the Floren Varsity House as well as a number of outdoor athletic fields.
Installation occurred in two phases, the first being in September and the second a few months later during winter break in December of 2015. The results were just what Dartmouth had been envisioning. The Floren Strength Training Center was transformed with a number of adhesive graphics and wall murals, and new windscreens were installed for the Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams, the Baseball Team, and the Softball Team.
The Floren Varsity House is home to a state-of-the-art Strength and Conditioning Center for varsity athletes. The Center features large pillars on both sides of the walls that stood blank white for a long time. AMI installed custom adhesive graphics to create visually appealing wall murals on each of these pillars featuring their "Welcome to the Woods" graphic theme as well as Dartmouth’s signature Big Green D logo.
The Floren Varsity House Project was finished off with an oversized cloth banner that hung the width of a wall at the end of the Strength Center. The banner echoed the design of the murals on the pillars leading up to it and branded a large portion of a wall that was previously bare.
AMI also outfitted a number of athletic fields with printed windscreens. These new mesh windscreens were printed to display Dartmouth’s past accomplishments as well as display their “Big Green” logo.
Now, fresh new windscreens that boast their Ivy League status as well as their winning history surround Biondi Park and the Dartmouth Softball Park, giving the Baseball and Softball Teams a true home field advantage. With last year’s upgrades behind them, Dartmouth is very pleased with the outcome and is planning on more visual branding projects with AMI in the near future.
“I have worked with AMI Graphics for many years and have always been impressed with their products, service and attention to detail. No job is too big or too small, and I greatly appreciate the level of care they take with each of my projects.” – Sam Hopkins, Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations, Dartmouth College
The 30th annual Area Code games began last Saturday, August 6th in Long Beach, California. The Games invite top high school baseball prospects from across the country to participate in a series of games over the course of a week culminating in a home run derby.
New Balance, a sponsor of the Games has been a long time client of AMI Graphics, turning to us to work on projects like Vehicle Wraps for Arizona and Florida spring training. So when they asked us to help them update the look for the Area Code Games, AMI was happy to step up to the plate.
A number of ticket booths were outfitted with custom rough surface Wall Murals that highlighted New Balance’s sponsorship of the games.
Leave no space unbranded for your upcoming season! Take advantage of the high visibility space on your ice resurfacer to showcase sponsors or promote your brand or event. AMI has experience working on ice resurfacer wraps with everyone from local clubs, to NCAA Division I collegiate teams, all the way to NHL organizations like the Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils.
Ice Resurfacer Wraps are adhesive graphics made to fit your individual resurfacer. These vehicle graphics can be full wraps with complete graphics covering your entire resurfacer, or they can be smaller custom vinyl decals designed to fit onto specific areas that can serve as a budget-friendly alternative to a full-wrap or as the perfect way to offer resurfacer ads to multiple sponsors.
It’s no secret that plain ice resurfacers aren’t the most interesting things to look at. Full ice resurfacer wraps grab fans attention while also conveying a sponsor message. It also allows you and your sponsors to get creative with your messaging! The New Jersey Devils and the Olympic Regional Development Authority both used full vehicle wraps to make their resurfacers look like they were cars driving on the ice by incorporating the resurfacer wheels into the wrap design.
The University of New Hampshire delighted their sponsor by using a full ice resurfacer wrap to turn their resurfacer into a garbage truck!
Saint Michael’s College used a combination of custom vinyl vehicle graphics and paint to add school spirit to the resurfacer at the community rink they call home when a full wrap wasn’t an option.
Are you welcoming a special event or high-profile championship to your facility? Ice resurfacer wraps are a great way to add additional event signage and branding to a high visibility area and can help boost the atmosphere of the event.

On Friday the 29th of July, the AMI Production Team set sail on a fishing excursion out of Seabrook, NH with Eastman Fishing Charters. We left the docks at 8:00am and two-hours later, we arrived at our first fishing destination. After a few basic instructions, everyone was baited up and lines were in the water and the fish came in quick. Right off the bat, the AMI team managed to reel in Cod, Haddock, and Pollack, hoping to claim one of four prizes…largest fish, most fish, strangest fish, and smallest fish.
The day began with rain, moderate seas, and cool temperatures. As the hours passed and the fishing stayed good, the weather turned out great. After our first fishing spot, we ventured on to a few more farther east, and found calm seas and a clear cool day. Once again, the production team dropped their lines to the bottom and waited for that tug. After a delicious lunch, lots of laughs, friendly competition, and enough fish to fill a freezer, the day came to an end.
The results for the prizes were: Largest Fish- Phil Mackey with a 10-pound Pollock, Smallest Fish- Andy Gilbert with a whopping 4-ounce redfish, Strangest Fish- Eric Charest with an odd looking brown, horned, spotted creature, and Most Fish- Ashley Lader with an incredible 17 fish total.
The day was an over all success. Everyone had a great time, and we were all able to bring home the freshest fish you have ever tasted. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for our next company outing!
