In 2017, Minor League Baseball (MiLB) started “Copa de la Diversión” which translates to “Fun Cup”. Copa de la Diversión is a season-long event series meant to celebrate Latin culture among fans and players. As part of this event, clubs temporarily alter their team name, logos, uniforms, and decor. Looking to transform more than just their names, Copa de la Diversión, teams sought unique signage tools to create a festive environment.
When it came time to alter their name for Copa de la Diversión, the Arkansas Travelers selected the name Diamantes de Arkansas in honor of a legendary Latin player who played in Hot Springs, Arkansas. To help create a festive atmosphere, the Diamantes turned to AMI Graphics.
