THE WORK
Planning for the 44th New Balance Falmouth Road Race began with monthly meetings in March and shifted into high gear a month prior to the event. In addition to traditional racing signage that is produced each year, the 2016 race featured the addition of feather flags at each mile marker on the course as well as on the corners of each promotional pop-up tent in order to aid in visibility while also functioning in the windy conditions typical to the Cape this time of year. The AMI crew traveled down to Falmouth to install Expo signage the Wednesday prior to race day. General course signage install took place from Friday to Saturday with finishing touches going into place Sunday morning, prior to the beginning of the race. Signage was installed from the start line, to the finish line, the expo, and everything in between. Directional signage, security signage, media backdrops, mile markers, feather flags, vinyl banners, and more worked together to create a cohesive, beautifully branded event. After the race had been run, the AMI crew jumped right back into action to return Falmouth to exactly how it had been days before.
