As human impact on the environment becomes more evident, eco-friendly business solutions become more important for organizations of all types. At AMI Graphics, we understand the benefits of eco-friendly products for businesses and the environment alike. To introduce others to our line of ECO Graphics, we reached out to the Center for Social Innovation and Enterprise (CSIE) at the University of New Hampshire.
CSIE is a joint venture of the Sustainability Institute, the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, and the Carsey School of Public Policy. Together, they aim to train, inspire and support the next generation of changemakers through high-impact educational programs. With programs like Semester in the City, Social Innovation Internship, NH Social Venture Innovation Challenge, B Impact Clinic and more, students get real world experience tackling complex sustainability problems.
CSIE was interested in strengthening branding throughout their new space, the Changemaker Hub, in a sustainable manner. AMI met with CSIE staff and discussed the wide array of ECO Graphics available to them. After returning to take measurements, the expert design professionals on the AMI Creative Team presented a design concept and proposal for the offices and student-centered Hub, that builds upon the main pillars of the organization. Once CSIE approved the design, AMI installers traveled to Durham to install the different ECO Graphics.
To start, ECO Coro material displaying the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals was installed on the wall adjacent to the stairway leading to the Sustainability Institute and the Changemaker Hub. ECO Coro is a paper-based rigid board that is a suitable replacement for many products that are typically produced with corrugated plastic. What was once a bare surface in a high-traffic area is now an eye-catching display that both promotes and informs students of what CSIE represents.
In the hallway outside of the collaborative working classroom space, the Changemaker Hub, ECO Coro was used once more to highlight the different high-impact programs available to students. These ECO Graphics strengthen branding while simultaneously promoting the various real-world learning opportunities within the programs.
To feature the various types of students that can be involved with the programs, a wall of cabinets was repurposed with ECO Stick adhesives featuring images of the students along with information about how they are participating within the program and making an impact. ECO Stick adhesives promote sustainability because they are Forest Stewardship Council Certified, PVC-free, and recyclable. This material is ideal for this application because as students come and go, the material can be removed, recycled, and replaced with updated ECO Graphics.
Inside the Changemaker Hub, ECO Board was used to display the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals once more. ECO Board is constructed from virgin fibers that are created using an eco-friendly process and are recyclable. This sign acts as both a teaching tool and a branding tool.
At the front of the room, adhesive material was used above the whiteboard. Despite limited space, this wall graphic has a big impact on the ambiance of the room by displaying an inspirational message in a highly visible area.
Working with the Center for Social Innovation and Enterprise was a rewarding experience that built upon our existing relationship with the University of New Hampshire.
“AMI has been an outstanding partner in bringing our new vibrant space, the Changemaker Hub, to life! The AMI team was wonderful to work with – very collaborative, responsive and professional throughout the process. We were so pleased to be able to utilize their recycled material EcoLine, so we could “walk the talk” on sustainability with our signage!”
