AMI Graphics Event Signage Shines at the BAA 10K

Start Finish Truss and Break Tape

The AMI Events Crew was down in Boston this past weekend for the Boston Athletic Association 10K.  The 10K starts and ends at Boston Common and winds through the streets of Boston’s Back Bay.  This year marks the 6th running of the BAA 10K as well as the 6 year that AMI Graphics has provided the event signage and logistics for the event.  We are proud of our strong and continued relationship with the BAA and look forward to many more events with them, no matter the distance!

We love running events (and all events!) and the challenge that they pose by needing a large amount of temporary signage set-up and taken down within the small window that the race has with the roads closed.  At the BAA 10K, there are also multiple, spread out areas that have different event signage needs such as: wayfinding signage around Boston Common and incoming public transit stations, registration & baggage area signs, course maps, sponsor signage, event mesh windscreen, start and finish truss signage, and the ever important break tape.

The BAA uses vinyl banners on adjustable frames to display larger than life course maps and race day schedules.

Registration A-Frames

A-Frames hold wayfinding signage so runners can easily find areas such as registration and information, while vinyl banners and coroplast signage are used on the tents where they can easily be seen.

Sponsor Signage

Sponsor signage lines crowd control barriers on areas that are heavily trafficked by runners and spectators.  The BAA chose to use single panel sponsor signage on each barrier but event mesh windscreen could also be easily used instead.  A-frames are also a great option for sponsor signage or other temporary signage needs that need to be self-standing.

Event Mesh

Event mesh windscreens provide both event and organization specific visual branding to the crowd control barriers at the start/finish chute.  Event mesh windscreen gives the BAA the perfect way to make the barriers visually appealing while also promoting their brand.

Start Finish Truss and Break Tape

AMI installed column wraps as well as the branded vinyl banner to the start/finish truss.  This branded truss combined with the event mesh windscreen on the crowd control barriers and the custom event break tape help to visually enhance this top notch event.
