A private, Catholic, co-educational university located just outside of Philadelphia is home to approximately 3,000 undergraduate students. Fielding 22 varsity athletic teams and 8 club teams, the Neumann University Knights compete at the NCAA Division III level as members of the Colonial States Athletic Conference and the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

With an upcoming inauguration for the University’s new president, the Knights were looking for a quick way to cover up some unused bulletin boards that lined a main hallway in The Mirenda Center where the inauguration would be taking place. The bulletin boards were not being used and made the hallway feel incomplete and unwelcoming. The Knights turned to AMI Graphics for a way to dress up the hallway for the inauguration being attended by important members of the university administration, while also showing pride in their athletic program.

Since a quick turnaround was needed and the graphics could be removed after the inauguration, it was determined that the quickest and easiest signage solution would be to use temporary adhesive graphics to wrap the bulletin boards for a vibrant, high-end look without a high price tag.

After testing a material sample to ensure that the bulletin boards would not be damaged upon removal of the graphics, the Knights chose action photos of their athletes to add color and life to the blank boards and hallway in the form of small murals. The temporary graphics were quickly printed and rushed down to Neumann University to be installed in time for the Knights to put their best foot forward for the presidential inauguration.

While intended to be temporary, the adhesive graphics were such a big hit that they are being left in place until a larger scale, more permanent graphics project can be completed later in the academic year.

“A note of appreciation for the quick turnaround. We are very appreciative of AMI’s effort. I just walked through our building with our new president as we check off the last of the to-do list before this afternoon’s inauguration. He was really impressed and grateful. You guys helped make us shine today.” – Chuck Sack, Director of Athletics and Recreation, Neumann University
