The AMI Graphics Event Services Team just returned from the 2017 edition of the Runner’s World Half & Festival held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Based at the grounds of the refurbished Bethlehem Steel Mill, this weekend event hosts a half marathon, 5K, 10K, and kids run, as well as live music, seminars, and more. For the second year in a row, AMI Graphics provided the pre-event strategic planning, print production, event signage installation, and on-site support for this event.
Large feather flags were used throughout the expo area as wayfinding signage to help runner’s find their way to the main expo and to the bib pickup area.
Operational signage also consisted of easel signage or small coroplast signs suspended from the ceiling for bib pick-up numbers and to mark other areas of interest.
Balconies in the expo area were livened up with vibrant mesh banners displaying the logo of the event’s title sponsor.
Other event signage throughout the venue included vinyl sponsor banners, event schedules, photo backdrops, cloth banners, and a large scale race map. Vinyl banners also allowed race branding and sponsors to be displayed above each event area such as gear check, recovery zones, beer gardens, and more. Branded event signage was also used for the pacer signs featuring race branding and a custom breaktape was made for the winners to run through at the finish.
The beautiful finish line area was decked out with event mesh banners featuring event branding and sponsor logos lining crowd control barriers as well as custom truss signage to create a custom finish line highlighted by a larger than life stage backdrop at the post-race gathering area.
