Dartmouth College has a storied history of excelling in the classroom as well as on the fields, courts, and ice. With over 30 varsity programs belonging to NCAA Division I, the Ivy League, and the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference, “The Big Green” is home to hundreds of dedicated student-athletes and the alma mater to thousands more.

AMI Graphics has had the pleasure of working with Dartmouth College Athletics for over 10 years. When they were looking to update some of their indoor and outdoor facilities, it was no surprise that they turned to AMI to get the job done. In April of 2015, two Senior Associate Athletic Directors got in touch with AMI to get started on rejuvenating their facilities. Not long after, a site visit was conducted at the Floren Varsity House as well as a number of outdoor athletic fields.

Installation occurred in two phases, the first being in September and the second a few months later during winter break in December of 2015. The results were just what Dartmouth had been envisioning.  The Floren Strength Training Center was transformed with a number of adhesive graphics and wall murals, and new windscreens were installed for the Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams, the Baseball Team, and the Softball Team.

The Floren Varsity House is home to a state-of-the-art Strength and Conditioning Center for varsity athletes. The Center features large pillars on both sides of the walls that stood blank white for a long time. AMI installed custom adhesive graphics to create visually appealing wall murals on each of these pillars featuring their "Welcome to the Woods" graphic theme as well as Dartmouth’s signature Big Green D logo.

The Floren Varsity House Project was finished off with an oversized cloth banner that hung the width of a wall at the end of the Strength Center. The banner echoed the design of the murals on the pillars leading up to it and branded a large portion of a wall that was previously bare.

AMI also outfitted a number of athletic fields with printed windscreens. These new mesh windscreens were printed to display Dartmouth’s past accomplishments as well as display their “Big Green” logo.

Now, fresh new windscreens that boast their Ivy League status as well as their winning history surround Biondi Park and the Dartmouth Softball Park, giving the Baseball and Softball Teams a true home field advantage. With last year’s upgrades behind them, Dartmouth is very pleased with the outcome and is planning on more visual branding projects with AMI in the near future.
