Quinnipiac University is a quintessential New England college. Located in Hamden, Connecticut, Quinnipiac boasts a beautiful campus, engaging academics, and a very successful athletics program. Quinnipiac is home to 21 varsity teams, two of which are the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey teams. Their home ice, the TD Bank Sports Center, was in need of a fresh set of dasher board graphics this year, so Quinnipiac turned to their longtime partner, AMI Graphics, to get the job done.

Quinnipiac’s athletic department and brand strategy office contacted AMI Graphics in mid-August looking to update their dasher board graphics with their new branding prior to their home opener, just over a month away. In previous seasons, dasher board graphics were only present behind the nets and scattered throughout the offensive and defensive zones.  This year, Quinnipiac went with a full branded wrap printed on DashMax ™, AMI’s proprietary adhesive dasher board graphic material. This material was designed to withstand harsh temperature fluctuations that take place within hockey arenas while also standing up to the wear and tear that comes along with the high-energy nature of the game. AMI provided Quinnipiac with a template to ensure that their design would work within the necessary space. Color samples were produced to ensure the printed colors would match the school’s specified pantone color, and the artwork was quickly approved. Three days after artwork approval, AMI’s installation team was down in Connecticut to begin installing the bold rink wrap.

Now, the Bobcats are ready to hit the ice next week with fresh, new dasher board graphics. When the puck drops, the Bobcats home ice will be sporting their signature blue Q, sponsors, and “#BobcatNation”!
