The NCAA Lacrosse National Championships returned once again to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts over Memorial Day Weekend 2018; this year playing host to the Division I, II, and III men’s semi-finals and finals.
As this was the second year in a row that the Lacrosse National Championships were held at Gillette Stadium, much of the event signage produced, installed, and removed from last year’s event was properly stored over the winter by the AMI Graphics Event Services team to be installed for this year’s tournament.
The generic NCAA branded event signage such as pole banners, large banners covering blank concrete walls throughout the stadium, and the majority of the mesh field wrap were unpacked and installed, while the portions of the field wrap and locker room graphics displaying the participating teams were updated to reflect this year’s championship contenders.
Also updated for this year were items that contained the year and all adhesive backed graphics such as door wraps leading into the locker rooms combined with large, interchangeable magnetic team logos.
A new addition to the event signage for this year was a floor graphic spanning the width of the hallway where the team busses dropped off the student-athletes when arriving at the stadium, elevating the atmosphere for all participating student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
A facility the size of Gillette Stadium lends itself to large event graphics with its tall concrete walls and large entrance tunnels. Our Event Services team worked hard as always and spent a lot of time on the lifts to ensure that all of the event signage was properly installed for best visual impact.
Congratulations to all participating schools, and a special congratulations to one of our longtime clients, Merrimack College, who won the Division II Championship this year!
