This past weekend, the AMI Team headed down to Silver Spring, MD for a Red Bull event unlike any other. Red Bull Battle Grounds is a live eSports event that attracts hordes of fans to watch expert players play StarCraft II on a larger than life LED screen for cash prizes and of course, the glory of being named Red Bull Battle Grounds Champions.
Before the games began, there was a lot to be done. Our AMI Install team worked quickly Friday night to transform the arena into a venue fit for the high-tech Grand Finals that took place on Saturday. Temporary door wraps were carefully installed to welcome fans into the games and 8 large direct to board prints of the players were suspended from the balcony. The install was completed with a large backlit cloth banner over the Audio Control Booth as well as a larger than life 6x30 foot blockout fabric stage backdrop that acted as the centerpiece to the games.
